FAQ
OK, you have some questions. We get it...
What exactly is an Ensoband?
It's the most minimal wallet. It's a specially designed silicone band that holds your credit cards, driver license, IDs, bank cards, cash, and more - all neatly and simply in the most minimal way possible.
Why would I pay for a rubber band? I can just steal one from work.
Well, we're not judging you, but stealing is not cool. More importantly, Ensobands are not rubber. They're silicone. And they're not just silicone. They are a proprietary blend of silicone that is designed to be ultra durable, very elastic, super smooth, and just the right amount of tacky (in a good way) to keep your cards and cash together in your pocket.
Silicone bands? Like those bracelet thingies I get when I do a 5K charity run?
Nope. Those are a whole different composition of silicone. Silicone wristbands are less elastic, harder, and longer. Ensobands are specifically designed to hold your cards.
Why would I pay for this? I just use a rubber band from the broccoli that I buy at the grocery store.
We hear you. We used to do the exact same thing over and over and over again, because they break so easily. That's because they're actual latex rubber, and are designed for one-time use. Also, because they are designed for broccoli, they are not the precise size needed to hold your cards in place.
Precise size? Specially designed? Give me a break.
Sounds crazy, we know. We probably spent way too much time on this, but we've been using rubber bands, in one form or another, instead of wallets for 30 years. We've gone through hundreds of various rubber bands. After yet another rubber band snapped and our credit cards went flying all over the place, we had had enough and pledged to design the perfect wallet alternative.
So, we started to research rubber and silicone and other alternatives. We checked out the competition. After dozens of prototypes and field research, several over months, we had the perfect size, silicone composition, and design.
What's with the name Ensoband?
An enso (really ensō) is a circle. More specifically, according to Wikipedia, "a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void). It is characterised by a minimalism born of Japanese aesthetics."
We think ensō circles are cool looking and a good symbol of what we are trying to convey with Ensoband. The minimalism and simplicity of the way we choose to live is exemplified by the things we choose in our lives. We carry various cards with us all the time, and every time we pull them out of our pockets, the Ensoband reminds us of the ideas and principles of minimalism and simplicity. That makes us feel good.
I just use a binder clip.
Yeah, we tried a binder clip for a while until it ripped a hole through our pants. Silicone is soft and won't do that.
I want to try Ensoband, but I'm reluctant.
No worries. If you don't like it, you can return your Ensobands within 20 days for a full refund. We'll even pay the return shipping. No questions asked.
If these are so durable, why do you offer 3 and 5 packs? Do I need more than one?
Ensobands last a really long time - well over a year, in our experience. So, you don't need to buy more than one unless: you like to change up the colors once in a while (oddly fun!); you want to buy one (or more) for friends (aka your new BEST friends); you keep cards in your bag (e.g., airline cards, membership cards, etc, that you don't carry around all the time) - it's nice to keep them wrapped up neatly. Also, Ensobands are perfect to wrap up business cards for when you're out there hustling.

Yes. But it's limited. Use the Contact page to send us a note if you want to help spread the good word of Ensoband (and make a couple bucks in the process).
